my new favorite word is whilst

i like looking things up in the dictionary.
well, the dictionary on my macbook anyway.
you know, the real nifty widget one that's on the dashboard?
so for you macbookers, look up avoidance in your widgionary (your dictionidget?) and apply that to the last five months of my blogging.
[if you want to get real crafty with synonyms, try the widgesaurus {a dinosaur?} err....thesauridget?]
if you're not a macbooker, i'm sorry.

when i write/share, i want to be honest.
and honestly? i want to be witty as well.
so either, the last four months i have been witless, or a liar.

and yet the case is neither.
my first thought of summer '08 would be work and then highlights like england and jordan.
in retrospect though, i see change, which is entirely more agreeable than work

i am one who loves change. i enjoy it and embrace it and actually long for it.
but whilst actually in the middle of change, the changes of change, if you will, i don't like to think and/or talk about the changes occurring. sometimes i don't know they're there. sometimes i know something is there, but i don't know its the changes of change. which is why i didn't blog. anywho....

things that changed over the summer:
-my hair color [which has actually changed again since then]
-my "freshman" status [how lovely]
-my age [last year of being a teenager]
-my bank account [money made, money spent]
-my relationships [family, friends, etc.]
-my knowledge and love of world, culture, and music [how could that not change whilst being in england?]
-my desires [what DO i want out of life?]

and so on and so forth. needless to say i'm not the same person i was five months ago.
and i'm thrilled to see what other changes may occur in and around me in the next five months.
i embrace them and challenge them to take me on.

"It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change." - Charles Darwin

yeah, chuck.
